My work takes historical events and translates them into a coherent visual concept. My multimedia work is an expression of my life, family history and the discovery of “Black Indian” culture. Hearing family stories over the years inspired me to tell my family’s hidden tale through my artwork. With the use of abstract figures and textural components, my work reflects my findings.
